I remember seeing a Tweet a few weeks ago. It asked: ‘Does anyone know any good #Vegancake recipes please?’
The answer, from an oh so helpful individual was:
‘There arent any! Hahahaa!’…. Hmmm……..Time to prove them wrong? I think so!
When we announced the theme was going to be #vegancake, it was met with a lot of excitement! We were not let down on the night! There was an absolute deluge of amazing, tasty, gorgeous cakes being tweeted. There were so many, its been hard to ’round them up’! I’d not want to let anyone down so, here it goes! Prepare for a Cakefest!
Lets start with these yummy offerings from @lilmissmeatfree Fancy a bit of ‘Mocha Cake‘ As an added bonus, we get to use some @orzocoffee Website (organic Barley coffee) A beautiful ‘Victoria Sponge with strawberry balsamic jam‘ or how about some ‘Oreo Cupcakes‘ Be sure to check the packaging though, as some imported versions are not suitable. Or a nice ‘Sticky ginger cake‘ Gorgeousness!

Obviously, a very ill-informed individual with, I suspect, a great reluctance to break out of their comfort zone. I venture to say that there are more vegan cakes out there than not. I’m sure googling “vegan cakes” would darn near overload the system. ha ha
I think the person was just asking for a bit of a fight.. you know the type! But yeah, sooo many Vegan cakes! and also many vegan through default!
I find I adapt regular recipes more than I actually make specifically vegan cakes.
Its surprisingly successful doing that isnt it! I say surprisingly only because the world of cakes (shop bought really) is sooooo dairy/egg influenced!

That’s absolutely brilliant to hear! I’m going over old posts (when i had less of a clue what I was doing!) and re writing them. That should make it easier to. x
Boy, I missed a good one there- but will catch up with the recipes, thanks to this roundup 🙂 PS: Maybe run that theme again some time? I’m sure there’s more goodies out there waiting to be shared…
